LOS ANGELES — 13 de novembro de 2023 — O The Game Awards, celebração de fim de ano da indústria de videogames, revelou hoje seus indicados para 2023, com Alan Wake 2 e Baldur’s Gate 3 liderando com 8 indicações cada. Celebrando os jogos, estúdios e forças criativas mais inovadoras da indústria de videogames em 2023, a impressionante lista de indicados deste ano inclui 112 jogos, indivíduos, equipes e eventos diferentes, abrangendo uma infinidade de gêneros e plataformas de jogos.

Os indicados a Jogo do Ano deste ano são Alan Wake 2 da Remedy Entertainment, Baldur’s Gate 3 da Larian Studios, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 da Insomniac Games, Resident Evil 4 da Capcom, Super Mario Bros. Wonder da Nintendo e The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom da Nintendo.
Após a introdução da categoria Melhor Adaptação em 2022, o crossover entre jogos e entretenimento continua a se aprofundar. Este ano, os seguintes filmes e programas de streaming estão indicados para Melhor Adaptação: Castlevania: Nocturno (Netflix), Gran Turismo (Sony Pictures), The Last of Us (HBO), Super Mario Bros. – o Filme (Illumination/Universal Pictures) e Twisted Metal (Peacock).
A Nintendo é a publisher com mais indicações no The Game Awards em 2023, com 15 indicações em seu portfólio combinado, seguida pela Sony Interactive Entertainment/PlayStation com 13 indicações, Xbox (incluindo Bethesda e Blizzard) com 10 e Epic Games, a terceira mais indicada, com 9 indicações. Os indicados ao The Game Awards são selecionados por um júri global de mais de 100 publicações de mídia e canais de influência de todo o mundo.
Em 2022, o The Game Awards entregou um recorde de 103 milhões de transmissões ao vivo. O Game Awards 2023, a 10ª celebração global anual da indústria de videogames, será transmitido ao vivo gratuitamente em mais de 30 plataformas de vídeo digital diferentes, incluindo YouTube, Twitch, Steam, Facebook, TikTok Live, X, WeChat Bilibili, Huya, DouYu, Xiaohongshu e Instagram Live.
De hoje até 6 de dezembro, às 23h (Horário de Brasília), os fãs poderão ajudar a escolher os vencedores em todas as categorias por meio de votação online autenticada em no site oficial do The Game Awards e no servidor oficial do Discord do The Game Awards usando o TGA Voting Bot oficial. Na China, os fãs podem votar nos seus favoritos no Bilibili, WeChat e Xiaohongshu.
Este ano, o The Game Awards está se unindo à Twitch para o Twitch Predicts The Game Awards – uma nova extensão onde você pode definir quem você acha que vai ganhar no The Game Awards em 7 de dezembro. Qualquer co-streamer pode instalar a extensão através do Painel e fazer com que a comunidade vote imediatamente. Os espectadores podem clicar no logotipo da extensão em qualquer stream qualificada para votar.
O The Game Awards será transmitido ao vivo do Peacock Theatre em Los Angeles na quinta-feira, 7 de dezembro de 2023, com prêmios, ‘world premieres’ de anúncios de novos jogos e apresentações musicais espetaculares da The Game Awards Orchestra, regida por Lorne Balfe.
